Terms of Service — Run & Resist

These Terms govern your use of Run & Resist Track Club’s website and services (“Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who We Are

Run & Resist is a project that connects running with cause-driven campaigns and community challenges. We do not process donation payments; donations are made directly through nonprofit organizations.

2. Accounts

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account.

3. Donations

Donations occur on third-party nonprofit websites; we do not store payment card data.
Receipts are issued by the nonprofit you donate to.
If you self-report donations or pledges, you represent that the information is accurate and genuine.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to violate the law, harass others, compromise account security, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt the Services.

5. Content You Submit

You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g., display name, donations you log). You grant us a limited license to host and display that content for the purpose of operating the Services.

6. Integrations & Activity Data

If you connect Strava, you authorize us to import limited activity metrics (distance, duration, date) used for mileage logs and leaderboards. We do not store raw GPS routes. You may disconnect anytime. More details: API Data Handling.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or error-free performance.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED $100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Run & Resist from claims arising out of your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

11. Changes

We may modify or discontinue features at any time. We may update these Terms and will revise the date above when we do.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, with venue in Virginia courts.
